Cenote" comes from the ancient Mayan word dzonot, which roughly translates to “abyss”—basically nature’s own sinkhole of mystery. In Mayan culture, cenotes weren’t just big puddles of doom; they were sacred portals to the underworld, and possibly the original spa-day for the gods.
Cenote is defined as a sinkhole in limestone with pools at the bottom, those are to be founded in the Yucatan Peninsula. Only a little percentage is explored and many of them are fit for recreational divers. Between Playa del Carmen and Cancun we may find the most popular ones like Chac mool, Dos Ojos, Tajma Ha etc.
We Take max 4 divers per instructor.
CENOTE CHAC MOOL

Chac-Mool is one of the caverns which has halocline , means where salt and fresh water come together and creating visual effects. With its big rooms and maximum depth of 12 meters/36 feet , is a perfect place for the novice cavern divers.
Cameras are not allowed inside Chac Mool, They have an inside company called Triton. Ivan is a pro catching amazing pics.
CENOTE TAJMA HA

Tajma Ha is an amazing cenote which offers two spectacular dives with all of the fantastic features of cenote cavern diving: sharp halocline (where fresh and saltwater meet creating amazing visual effects), light effects (thin light beams like lasers during summer time.
This Cenote is a roller coaster therefore is important Not to have equalization problems.
CENOTE DOS OJOS

Location: 17 Kilometers North of Tulum
Hours of operation: 8:00am -5:00pm / everyday of the week
Bathrooms: Yes
Distance from gear up to water: very short walk and down stairs (easy) but wear shoes and walk carefully on the stairs and decking.
Cavern Dives: Max depth 10 m / 33ft (cavern zone) easily a 45 minute dive or more on a cavern tour, permanent gold guideline in place. You can do 2 cavern dives here, completely different one from the other and go to the famous bat cave.
